There is finally a real torrent client in the Windows Store for Windows RT and Windows 8. Torrex, which is currently in Beta, is the first and currently only  BitTorrent Client that runs on ARM-based Windows RT tablets.

Torrex is a modern BitTorrent client with ability to stream video and audio playback. Using our application you can download any torrents and magnet links and start viewing media content in the built-in media player without waiting for the download completion.

In order for Torrex to continue downloading it should be used in Snapped-Mode on the right or left side of the Screen while you can use other apps. This seems to be the only restriction regarding the new Windows 8 Modern UI. Everything else works as advertised.
